An explanation of the facial scrubs table
On this page you can compare the different facial scrubs, based on whether they contain parabens, propylene glycol or antioxidants.
Many people are concerned about parabens and propylene glycol, so that is why I have paid particular attention to these chemicals.
Antioxidants help to nourish and repair our skin, so having lots of them in your facial scrub is a good sign. I have simply scored this as Yes/No.
The overallrank (in the last column) is based on the previous columns, as well as whether or not customers really liked the facial scrub.
So if you are searching for the best face exfoliator – you have come to the right place!
What are facial scrubs?
If you have noticed that your skin looks dull and tired, and it doesn’t look as clean and fresh as you would like it to, then the first step is to use a facial scrub.
Facial scrubs are gentle exfoliants, which can be used daily and help to remove the old dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin. These dead skin cells are what gives your skin that tired, dull appearance, so once they are removed, your skin looks much fresher and healthier.
Another problem with not removing these dead skin cells is that they block you pores, causing white heads, blackheads and acne. So clearing away all of these dead cells, helps to open up your pores and clean them out as well.
Yet another benefit from using facial scrubs frequently is that these blocked pores prevent your other beauty products from penetrating your skin, so whilst you might be using a beautiful expensive moisturizer, it won’t be very effective because of this barrier of dead skin cells.
So to sum up – facial scrubs help to revive tired, dull looking skin, unblock pores and aid your other beauty products to penetrate your skin and work more effectively.
Facial are one of the most gentlest ways you can exfoliate your skin, so including a facial scrub in your daily beauty routine will be like having a spa facial – only it is a very affordable at home facial instead.
FYI: Not all of these facial scrubs include glycolic acid, but I have included them because they have such luscious ingredients and they gently exfoliate your skin – which is what we really want isn’t it?
