Which Microdermabrasion System is Best?
Microdermabrasion Systems use a mechanical method of exfoliation compared to glycolic acid peels that use a chemical approach. However, there are three different types of mechanical microdermabrasion devices on the market: a battery operated facial brush, an ultrasonic skin scrubber or a diamond tip dermabrasion device.
I have tried to cover all of these 3 devices in my microdermabrasion reviews, so that you have a wide selection of techniques and a good price range as well.
If you are in a hurry (or just curious):
This is a fabulous microdermabrasion device, but it is rather expensive. So if you can find this device for less than $200 online – then I would grab it with both hands!

What does microdermabrasion do?
Microdermabrasion is simply a way to exfoliate your skin using a mechanical device, compared to chemical peels which exfoliate your skin using chemicals.
There are a variety of different microdermabrasion systems available on the market with an equivalent range of prices. The most effective microdermabrasion systems use a diamond tip and these are the systems that are used in salons and spas.
You can however, purchase very good at-home microdermabrasion machines that are very affordable, effective and easy to use.
When you have a microdermabrasion treatment, the top layer of your skin is exfoliated, leaving behind fresh, new skin that looks healthier and smoother.
Clears out your pores: Microdermabrasion clears out blocked pores that are clogged with debris, removing whiteheads, blackheads and mild forms of acne.
Minimizes age spots and liver spots: So many of us have these age spots on our hands and it can be difficult to remove them. Microdermabrasion at home can often help to reduce these age spots, making the skin on your hands look younger and less worn.
Brightens and smooths your skin: Microdermabrasion helps your skin to look fresher and feel smoother, because a lot of the dry, tired and aged appearance on your face is due to blocked pores and an accumulation of dead skins and debris on the surface of our skin. Once all of this is cleared away, your skin looks and feels much healthier and more youthful.
Everyone should at least use a facial scrub in their beauty routine and if possible treat yourself to a microdermabrasion treatment at home as well. We all deserve beautiful looking, clear skin!
