At concentrations of 10% or below, glycolic acid promotes exfoliation of the top layer of your skin, revealing the smoother, fresher skin hiding below. At these small concentrations of glycolic acid, these products need to be used frequently (daily or weekly) to keep seeing the ongoing benefits.
Benefits of hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is also known as the fountain of youth and it has a threefold effect on your skin. First it is a super hydrator because it can hold more than 1000 times its own weigh in water.

Research has linked parabens with cancers, endocrine and hormonal problems – essentially, parabens mimic oestrogen in our body. Parabens occur naturally in lots of food products, so the main issue seems to be the accumulation of parabens in our bodies over time – which is artificially inflated if you use skin care products containing parabens.
There are many arguments for and against using parabens in skin care products and some countries have banned their use in personal care items for under 3 year olds. Unfortunately there are no legal limits of parabens in cosmetics, so everyone is left to make their own minds up about whether they are concerned about parabens or not in their skin care products.
Issues with propylene glycol
Propylene glycol is a chemical found in many skin care products and acts as an anti-freeze, stopping products from melting in the heat and turning solid in the cold. It is contained in items such as – shampoos, soaps, moisturizers, toothpastes and deodorants for example.
This chemical has apparently been linked with cancers, allergies, reproductive and endocrine problems, and neurotoxicity, however whilst there are guidelines on its use, the FDA finds it acceptable for use in cosmetics. You can read more here and here.

Safety warnings
You might experience mild stinging on your skin after using this alpha hydroxy acid cream, but any sensitivity should subside after a few minutes. If you find that your skin still feels irritated after a few minutes, rinse the face cream away and discuss the problem with your medical practitioner.
Also, any products that contain glycolic acid can increase the sensitivity of your skin to the sun, so you need to wear a sunscreen and limit exposure to the sun while using this products and for a week afterwards.
